The ADAC breakdown statistics show that purchasing a BMW or MINI means that you now own a vehicle that offers top driving pleasure as well as high quality and reliability.

The most reliable small car in Europe has been announced to be the MINI, which takes the top spot its class. In the off-roader class, BMW X3 and X5 got the first and second places. During the tests, the two SAVs had only minor breakdowns. BMW 1 Series, BMW 3 Series and 5er also got excellent marks for an extremely low breakdown rate. The latest ADAC breakdown statistics cover all models that have attained more than 10,000 registrations in Germany in 2009.

My 2007 X3 never broke down ever. But the jerky automatic transmission and throttle hesitations they could not find a way to fix for over two years. I just got rid of it and I am so happy since. They also couldn't fix the ticking valve noise, it always come back after a while. Not my problem anymore.
