Techart pimps the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo! Now it's ready to face Nissan GT-R!
Techart announced today its new engine performance kits for the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo. As you may know already, Techart is a well-respected tuning company specialized in Porsche vehicles and the new kits dubbed TA 097/T1 and TA 097/T2 provide impressive performances.

The performance kit TA 097/T1 offers extra 70 hp (standard car has 500 hp) with the help of some ECU tweaking as well as a new Techart Sport air filter. With the new kit installed, the car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds while the top speed achieved is 324 km/h. The second performance kit, the TA 097/T2, offers 630 hp and a maximum torque of 820 Nm of torque, with the help of a Techart Sport air filter, Techart manifolds and the Techart exhaust system “Sport”.

What a dumb title! "...Now its ready to face Nissan GT-R"

I don't think they ever intend on "facing" the GT-R, and when they do, they win, stock.

Agree. Porsche actually had to hire Techart to modify the 911 to compete with Godzilla? What a shameful way to compete. Godzilla was all stock. No modifications. Am I missing something here?

I have a 2010 Porsche Turbo with PDK and I think that it's a much better match against the GT-R. With more power by TechArt it may be too tail happy but it's probably more fun. My friend has a GT-R and dyno'd in 503 bhp. I don't know how that happened but it just shows that not all hand-built GT-R motors are equal. So that explains why some cars are 3.2 and some are 3.8 0-60. Anyways a Porsche and a Nissan is rarely cross shopped when looking at quality but performance wise these two beasts are amongst the best IMO.

the gt-r engine isn't handbuilt, it's handassembled. they should fix their quality standards if the acceleration times variy that much within one production line.

btw, does anyone know if you're allowed to drive on the autobahn without voiding your gt-r's warranty?

If you take off the limiter then yes. But then that is with every car. I doubt you will launch a car on the hwy

Can't really compare these two cars, as the GT-R is a bit higher than the 911.
