Lancia Delta spotted in Michigan, preparing U.S. debut
Earlier this week, a white and black prototype of Lancia Delta hatchback with Chrysler badging was spotted going on test runs in Auburn Hills, near Chrysler’s Technical Center (CTC). This fuels speculations that Chrysler-Fiat has specific plans for this vehicle, which actually was showcased at the latest Detroit Auto Show.

I can see this becoming another PT Cruiser disaster. The only difference being this probably won't have the same hype around it like the Cruiser did. But I'll betcha anything Chrysler will saturate the market with it.

I look forward to beng swathed in crummy plastics that scratch easy, listening to music through really scratchy paper cup speakers, and nearly tearing the door handles off because Chrysler figures push button door handles are "cool".

I wonder if Chrysler is using just the chassis of this car. If they plan on marketing it I'm guessing it will be more of a stop gap car until the completely redesigned Nassau comes out. The interior of this car(at least in Europe) is not cheap. In addition the car has a nice ride and is quite roomy and luxurious. It is larger then a PT cruiser. It also gets good mileage. So if it's well put together, rides and handles nicely,is luxurious, quiet, roomy, and gets good mileage does that not fit the bill for a lot of folks if the price is right.
