Next-generation Mini Cooper to receive three-cylinder engine
The three-cylinder engine that BMW has been working on to power the next-generation BMW 1-Series is also likely to be put in the next-gen Mini Cooper too, according to a Motoring File report.

It is believed that with a smaller engine, Mini would be able to at least maintain the performance while also improving fuel economy. When using this engine, the 2011 Cooper would be able to generate 122hp while the 2011 Cooper S will be able to deliver 184hp.
