BMW's Next Gen X3 Shakes Up New York City Bomb Squad

A dopey BMW employee parked a running SUV outside the American Museum of Natural History on Sunday, prompting Manhattan's third headline-grabbing bomb scare in just over a week.

Police rushed in to shut down a swath of Central Park West and smashed the vehicle's rear window as the bomb squad suited up in protective gear.

It turned out to be a false alarm: The boneheaded BMW driver had managed to leave the shrink-wrapped X3 prototype running while he went off to enjoy a Sunday afternoon in Central Park.

lol, seriously? he leaves a car parked in a parking space running and hes the moron for shutting down an entire part of the city, and "forcing" people into shock and fear what has the world come to. The only thing stupid he did was leave a car parked and running this just proves our society is over ran fear and paranoia yet in a day and age where you can easily just walk into a presidents party with no one stopping you and its a big joke huh?

I cannot believe a car is running!! better get the bomb squad! They ebtter check every single taxi in new york as well that is sitting parked somewhere and the engine is running.

maybe, since he's testing the vehicle, he suppose have it running non-stop for a certain amount of time. But still, it very foolish of him to leave it unattended.
