What a joke, not that I am suprised, but look at all you Lexus Lemmings liking the design of this car. You might as well put a propeller on the hood, maybe that would help it handle better.

I'm sorry but some of you are in denial. Not to be rude but there is a whole lot of 7 series in this cars profile. You can pretend it's original if you want but it's there much like it is in the interior of the new S550. I don't care for the BM or the MB much less this thing so don't think I'm on that trip. The new S is a true dissappointment. But it's a triumph for some and they can be the ones to buy one. This car would sell and do well but it's still merely a carbon copy of what is hot from Germany.

It will be ground breaking.
I don't want to go into big descriptions but a small point.
LS without hybrid--->360HP
LS Hybrid----------->360+atleat 80HP Hybrid motor.

Look at it's allrounder capabilities
UNMATCHED performance,power,luxury,quality,reliability,
value,durability,fit and finish.....etc

What else do u want from an allrounder Ultra car.Atleast for the another 1-2 decades.
Does S,7 Series,A8,XJ...etc gives u this much.
R they THis much all-rounders.Definately not.

Another thing It's more of becoming a trend, a fashion nowadays by saying that Lexus copied this lexus copied that.But haters we do enjoy u.

Today every other car looks like the other if u see from a particular angle or from your eye or from your view or from your point of view.

O One example from my side:
To me the rear of the new 07 S class looks like that of the 1999 Daewoo Lagenza (Chevrolet Epica).One of the worst car ever to hit the road.

Now what u will say to this.Because i think it is.

I personally think the 7 series is one of the most gorgeous cars out there. Chris Bangle did a good job with all of the cars. The S-class only looks good in that one made by that one company( not brabus, it starts with an L). The LS looks is kind of soulless to me. These are just my opinions based on design, the drive of these cars might be very different and change my opinions on them.

The S-class only looks good in the LORINSOR package.

boss and to all others that are making unbalanced comparisons. The new LS460 is a 4.6 V8 delivering around (numbers not confirmed yet) 380 hps, BMW 750Li is a 4.8 V8 delivering 360 hps, and MB S550 is a 5.5 V8 delivering 382 hps.

Please do not compare a tuned engine like the M5 or AMG against a regular engine, that's stupid.

Now lets look at the above numbers, smaller engine with more power. I think its clear.

Now just imagine if you tune the LS460 engine what kind of power would you get? and YET, imagine if Lexus decides to make a head to head V10 or a V12 to go against M5 or of S65 with the same engine sizes. Hmmmm, if you know how to add 1+1 = 2, then I think all of you will know the math.

Now, One thing is different between the LS, S, and 7, etc... The German luxury cars tend to be sporty, tuned suspension, brakes, and engines. So trust me, if you take e.g. a new LS460 or GS460 and spend the extra $20k or so on its price to match the German's prices, you WILL get beyond the performance that the Germans give you.

So to all MB, BMW lovers (Lexus haters), try it for yourself and don't be afraid, or shall I say, don't be embarrassed to see that a tuned Lexus will kick the tuned MB, BMW ass in a second. If you can afford a $90k+ BMW/MB, buy you $70k LS and tune it with even less than $20k and see the difference. :-)
