Man, those convex dashboards just seem so wrong. Reverse-ergonomics? Anti-ergonomics? Form over function?

Beautiful cars. But since i'm not a hardcore bimmer guy they all (inside and out) kinda look the same to me.
I totally respect the quality of the engineering though.

WOW, I think BM may have taken the crown from Benz. The 335is, Z4is the new 5er,the class act 7 and the bone crasher M3.
BMW are finally the No 1 luxury brand.
Well done Bimmer, that’s why I drove Benz for most of my life and now drive a E93 335i. I’m converted are you?
Great pictures 001

1 series looks so odd and outdated compared to the rest of the lineup. I was scrolling down the page and then BAM! a red 1 series pops up looking like a toy car.

It's the proportions that make it look that way. For example, the human brain sees a "face" pattern in a car's front end, and with the 1's oversized headlights, it trigger's a "child's face" brain pattern due to the large, wide "eyes." Other proportional cues are in line with this statement. So in more ways than one, it truly is the "Baby Bimmer."

German style sensibilities are different than those in North America (geeze, even North American tastes can vary significantly throughout the land). Remember that it was BMW Executives, in Germany (Bavaria?), that gave the green light to those quirky designs we now know as being of The Bangle Era. They turned down the more traditional designs that Bangle's team also proposed, thinking that a "bold new direction" was the way to go. Man, am I glad *that* decade is over.

The round tailpipes are for the 535i, the squared ones are for the 550i.

The only thing hot about BMWs lineup is the M3. Everything else is pretty much lackluster, to include the pedestrian friendly 5 and 7 series, which redefine "bumpin' uglies".

You will always see the pattern of the 3 being the least "edgy" in terms of style/fashion statements. That's because BMW is run by pretty smart people (the Quandt family). They know that the 3-series is BMW's "bread and butter," and they can't afford to mess that one up. They do their exploring and experimentation on other models.

I'm loving the 335is coupe in 6 speed form. This is probably BMW's purest expression of a practical sports car for the "common man". $10K cheaper than a M3, but to drive it even at 80% requires a track. Less bling than the current M3, but better than the last generation M3 in terms of efficiency, handling and response.

I can't wait to hear the sonorous sound of this turbo I6 with a real pair of aftermarket pipes.

The new 7, the new 5, the new Z4, and gran coupe (6), the X5, the X6, the 3 series coupe... I think BMW will have the hottest line up all round when they fix the X3, 3 series sedan, and the 1 series, which are all due to an update soon.

I have now seen few 5 series on the roads. I was surprised it looks so much like a 3 series sedan but still i liked the design. It is just that outgoing 5 series was instantly recognisable and has it's own unique look.
New 5 series looks like a stretched 3 series.

BMW unfortunately seems to be taking a page from Audi's book in terms of their line having virtually no distinguishable traits aside from size. I didn't like the design of the out-going 5-series but at least it was unique in & out from the rest of the line.
This is the first time I've ever scrolled through pictures of various Bimmer interiors & second guessed myself when determining what model they belong too.
