If yesterday it was just a rumor, today it is official: diesel-powered Bmw 5-Series will debut in the United States! Athough there are no details regarding the engine which will power the new car, it is expected that the U.S. market will get the 3.0-liter diesel engine found on the 530d.

But the Mini is so small, Why would you want a diesel Mini ?

Over here most people want the Cooper S as it is very Economical anyway.

Over there where Gas is SO CHEAP i would never buy a Diesel Mini.

hmmm...if the speculation in the article is correct, they'd offer the 530d, and the 335d. it might be in their best interest to offer the 535d and 330d, as well.
