Ford preparing street-legal version of 2011 Mustang Boss 302R
As you may know already, back in December Ford launched the 2011 Ford Mustang Boss 302R, a new car which was going to be used by its customers only for racing.

Priced at $79,000, the car uses the 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission and due to the fact that it’s a racing-only vehicle it comes with a roll cage, race seats, safety harness, data acquisition and race dampers/springs, as well as a Brembo brake and tire package.

I love the idea of a full race cage, why can't they build all vehicles with this? Safety cages sound nice, but they just don't cut it in a very serious accident, that is why they are required for racing. This Mustang sounds interesting, they should make this for the road, I can imagine it would be cheaper if they all came like this.

if it isn't more powerful, why would someone spend $79k on this when they could get a GT-R, M3 Competition Package, Z06, etc.? Those are all trackable right from the factory, too.
