This photochop with Aston Martin characteristic completely changes my opinion. Before, it was just curves; now, it's... the Essence - pun intended.

What Infiniti need to do is produce a Infiniti G35/G37 coupe BMW M3, MB C-class AMG, Audi RS4/RS5 and Lexus IS-F fighter.
Infiniti is you're reading this, please make a high performance version of the G37 sedan and G37 coupe on the next generation. And put a V8 engine with 450 hp under the hood would be really sweet.

I would personally rather see a single turbo VQ 3.7 in a performance G coupe than a V8. The car is heavy enough as is.

Looks absolutely stunning and that roof line curve in the C pillar can be a good trademark from now on. Make it soon Nissan.

I don't understand the criticism. There are many great V6 powertrains that run single single turbos. The Grand National's 3.8T is a great example, as is the 2.8T from SAAB. Also hasn't Audi done pretty well from its single turbo engines?
Twin turbo setups have added complexity, cost, and weight. Single turbo V6 setups only need to run the exhaust to a single point to work properly, it has been done many times successfully.
Also running a smaller single turbo has less drawbacks for daily driving than a single large turbo (although there is less top end power).
Perhaps a little less criticism next time and a little more forethought.

Also a TT VQ might infringe on the GT-R's prestige. Something that Nissan would NOT want to happen.

How much talk can this company be about. HURRY UP AND BUILD SOME MORE CARS!!!!
Their market share is going to dwindle due to lack of an decent range of products.

That curved pillar from the essence looks horrible in this photoshop I think an M coupe though would make sense and would be a good looking car that photoshop is horrid

imo, great potential, yet there are a couple things that make me cringe. The first is the hole behind the front wheels. It looks so out of place. Also, the swoosh... it looked right on the essence concept, but if you scale up the rest of the car and keep that identical then it looks awkward.

just saw the new M56 sedan on the street yesterday... it looks like a Jaguar XF's retarded cousin. Or maybe the new XJ with botched plastic surgery... it's not necessarily hideous, but it really does look like some kind of 'alternative' version of the new Jaguars.

They need a larger coupe in their line up for sure. Having it based off the M would put them in line against the E-class coupe but that market is hard to tap into.

If this gets built -- pretty much as shown, without being watered down -- it would give Merc's latest E-Class coupe a serious run for the dough. I'd certainly consider buying this car, and I've never had an Infiniti in my garage. This one, though, is interesting in a major way. Let's see if Nissan will deliver it to showrooms by midyear 2011...

That is a hot looking coupe. I hope they make it, because I would buy one in a second.

The headlights, C-pillar, and tail lights look like they are from a comic book - can we get a little more SWISH? The duct (aka hole) behind the front wheel is useless and carrying the lower door crease to the lower rear bumper panel is a little too much.
Overall, it has a nice shape but has way too many styling doo-dads.
