Honda remains skeptical about demand for electric cars, report says
Every car manufacturer wants to build electric cars but it appears that this desire is not shared by Honda as the Japanese manufacturer is skeptical about the demand for electric cars.

Now don’t think that Honda doesn’t know what it’s talking about because the company stopped selling its EV Plus battery-powered model 10 years ago. “We lack confidence in the electric-vehicle business. It’s questionable whether consumers will accept the annoyances of limited driving range and having to spend time charging them” said Tomohiko Kawanabe, president of Honda’s research and development unit.

with reports of the Nissan Leaf taking up orders that exceed availability... Electric cars is the future of automobiles so pretty much you have no choice but to get started before fossil fuel runs dry. (on a side note: VW better learn some basic electricity knowledge before they become nonexistent)

Electric cars are not in my or anyone I knows future. I drive way beyond those ranges in a given period of time. They still have not factored in the lowered range while in traffic or using the A/C or radio. So I expect these ranges to be significantly decreased, i.e. 50 mile round trip commute turns into an entire charge used.

Only rich people can afford electric cars, I would need two cars because I drive too much and I would require a longer range.
