NHTSA investigating Mercedes-Benz E-Class for faulty air bags
NHTSA announced that it is investigating Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz E-Class models because the airbags may not deploy properly in crashes.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about 100,000 cars from the 2005 and 2006 model-years may be affected and so far NHTSA received only four complaints about failures in the module-wiring harness of the steering column.

It was an ugly generation for the E-class anyways. Although I'm more shocked that they have an appropriate image that fits the article.
