Rumor: Bugatti working on a 1,200 hp Veyron

According to the latest reports, it appears that Ferdinand Piëch a.k.a. former Volkswagen chairman confirmed the fact that there will be a new supercar from Bugatti!

What it is more interesting is that this new vehicle will be even more powerful and will have around 1200 hp, as the 1001 hp found on the current Bugatti Veyron were not enough. For those who don’t know the Veyron is powered by a sixteen cylinder engine featuring four turbochargers and there are big chances to see a modified version of this engine on the new car.

I'm speechless!!! I can't find the right word to give this car, its just a master piece, work of art, something by itself that has no other competitors PERIOD!!!

How about the SSC ultimate aero? 87 more hp and 1736lbs less, actual luxury amenities the veyron is missing, including a nav system, 10 speaker high end audio system with cd/dvd/7.5" screen/back up cam.

Nav or not, I'd rather have the Buggati. The Buggati is more refined, has better finish, and doesn't look like a Lambo Ripoff like the SSC ultimate aero. And 10 speakers doesn't mean that it's better than 8. And don't tell me that the SSC's stereo is a B&O. I dont care.

Joe_Limon,

I've looked at both the pics, and the vid @7:05. And to be honest, I still prefer the Bugatti's interior. The SSC interior looks like a kit car interior, it doesn't really look finished and the monotone black decor makes it look drab. What's so special about the SSC's interior? I dont see it.

Neither Interior is up to Ferrari 599 standards but I would take the Veyron interior (and the whole car) over the Aero anyday.

Once you hit 1000hp does 200 really make that much of a difference.
