Turbo is way overpriced, 60k more then the S? What in the world is Porsche smoking, there is no way the car looks anywhere near a 100k car.

Reading is fundamental, dude. Fortunately, you can blame your off base, fact-devoid statement on simply not having read the article carefully.

From first-hand experience, the Turbo is worth every single penny. It's unbelievable.

My turbo 911 is worth 60k more than a standard carrera but i've never found it in me to spend that kind of money on an Cayenne. I would much rather get a Range Rover or an ML63 which is a beast as well.

Hmmm...so you can get TWO Porsche Cayennes for the price of ONE Turbo...and still have enough money left over for a few upgrades. No wonder they make the most money in the car biz.

Is it overpriced? Probably. But what Porsche isn't.

Cayman S isn't.

Why do people around here have such a hard-on for the Cayman S? I'm sure it's a fine machine, but some of you act like its power numbers are the only thing keeping it from entering the pantheon of sports cars. If I remember correctly - doesn't the Cayman S put up nearly identical handling, acceleration, breaking and lap figures as the nearly 1/2 priced, 4 seater 135i?

Pricing for the base Cayenne is very competitive with the base X5, but I can't imagine very many of the BMW buyers seriously considering the Cayenne.

The X5 says "upscale, sucessful family" whereas the Cayenne says "divorced dad who has the kids on the weekends and has to drive a SUV rather than the 911 that he really wanted now that he's single again".

"equal to 28.5 mpg imp. "

hahaha silly European mileage, try an epa 14city/20hwy mpg, which is really bottom of the pack, most suv's with worth mileage have a lot more power to compensate for.

The 2011 X5 and X6 35i get 17/25. Saw that at the dealership the other day, couldn't believe it at first.

Make sure you don't believe it, those aren't epa numbers.

Unless of course they magically found 3mpg between 2010 and 2011.

I'd prefer you not correct me if you don't know what you're talking about. They were EPA numbers, right there on the window sticker for the new 2011 X5, which has a new 300hp engine and 8-speed transmission versus a 2010. It's 17/25 now, and a 335 convertible with that same new engine was 18/28, also a huge jump from 2010.
