ANOTHER Reason Why You Should Teach Your Kid(s) Manual

Some moments are lived backwards. The great ones run through your mind like a favourite movie. Then there are the other kind, where you try to roll back the clock – like the afternoon my teenage son launched a brand new Porsche Turbo through our garage door.

So far, I have not managed to invent a time machine, go back, and snatch the key from his hands (and in case you were wondering, the car goes for $180,000, not including freight, tax or a new garage).

I will never let my kid drive my car if I had a car like this, I would buy him a civic for him instead so he wouldn't have a reason to learn to drive with my car.

Be proactive! Give the kid a chance to drive the car, and then offer him to drive it wherever and whenever he wishes as the next bargain. It's not spoiling him... can you blame him for appreciating your job as a lucky auto journalist? I don't think Porsche would mind if you kid offers to advertise their vehicle around the school campus.
