McLaren Steps Up To The Plate, Announces 35 Markets

If you think about it, the past couple of years has seen some truly spectacular performance vehicles. The Audi R8 V10, Lexus' LFA, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia and 458 Italia, or how about Mercedes-Benz's SLS AMG?

But the biggest threat to them all comes from McLaren. With a tremendous amount of history and passion behind a brand, does it get much better than this?

The builder of what is arguably the greatest driver's car of all time -- the McLaren F1 -- is back again and doing it in a much bigger fashion.

AutoWeek reports:

McLaren announced 35 markets where it will sell the Formula-One-inspired MP4-12C on Friday, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto.

Ten markets in the North America will sell the ultra-light, high-performance sports car starting in the spring of 2011.

Other global markets include London, Monaco, Paris, Frankfurt, Kuwait and Johannesburg...
