Rumor: Bentley shooting brake in the works
A Bentley two-door wagon is being conceptualized, according to Stuart McCullough, VW Board Member in charge of Bentley. And this isn’t the Continental-based Flying Star wagonette that was unveiled at the latest Geneva Motor Show and that was later offered by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera.

McCullough had a chance to talk to reporters during the launch of its new 2011 Mulsanne flagship when the topic of new models and derivatives of the Continental came up. McCullough said that the idea of a shooting brake has been tossed around but that it won’t be coming to the market just yet.

"Shooting brake" is what rich folks call a station wagon.

If this vehicle is the answer, then what's the question?

A Shooting-brake, or "Shooting Break", is a 2-door car body style with a squared-off rear.[1] They generally have a rear liftgate like a wagon or a hatchback although one or a pair of side-hinged doors is also sometimes seen.

"The term originated with custom built 2-door luxury estate cars altered for use by hunters and other sportsmen such as golfers, riders, and polo players requiring easy access to larger storage areas than offered by the typical automobile boot.[2]

The origin of the phrase has been lost, to the point that currently both spellings "shooting brake" and "shooting break" are used."

In most part of europe, a station wagon is called a break.
A shooting break is a 2 doors station wagon, Just like the M coupe or the 1987 2 doors VW fox SW.

A shooting break is an England speciality, Lords are using them to go fox hunting with dogs.

Jaguar made shooting breaks out the XK and XJS, AM made somes out of the vantage in the 90's. It translate into "break de chasse" in french, which means "hunting station wagon" in america.

To make a long story short, the shooting break is to Englishmen hunters what the Chevy Van is to American pedophiles.

That thing is cruely ugly and doesn't deserve Bentley badge. Maybe a good Chevrolet Caprice station wagon successor but no way a Bentley.
