Carbon Motors’ E7 police car receives over 14,000 reservations
Carbon Motors announced that it received 14,000 reservations so far for its new E7 police car. These reservations were made by over 400 law enforcement agencies in 48 US States and the manufacturer expects to have production sold out well in advance of the first vehicle rolling out of its factory.

The new police car will be powered by Bmw’s BluePerformance 3.0-liter twin-turbodiesel six from the X5 xDrive35d and the 335d capable to deliver almost 300 hp and 425 pound-feet of torque

Good for them. I don't care how ugly it is; if it keeps cops safe and the idiots in the back, and runs well and long, then it's a winner. It's a purpose-built car that looks like it will fulfill the needs of any police department. And it's a start-up auto company? How did the big three not try to crush this company into early obsolescence? Do they own a big piece?
