Toyota, Nissan and Honda increase production as demand rises in the U.S.
For the month of April, Toyota Motor Corp., Honda Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co. increased global vehicle production in response to the increasing demand in Asia and the United States.

In a statement, Toyota disclosed that it built 62% more cars than a year earlier, with 591,109 vehicles made in April. Its exports rose by 117% to 150,118 units, while overseas output increased by 55%. Production in Japan rose by 71%. Nissan built 57% more cars and light trucks to 319,673 units compared with April 2009.
