SPIED: The Most REVEALING Shots Of BMW's Next-Gen 6-Series Cab

SPIED: The Most REVEALING Shots Of BMW's Next-Gen 6-Series Cab
Although the BMW 6-Series has not been getting nearly as much as attention as the upcoming 2012 M5 and 1-Series mystery car, the all-new cabrio appears that it will create a buzz.

Said to be the most stunning design from BMW's own staff, we are eagerly anticipating seeing what's up under the camo.

And, from the latest crop of spy photographs, it seems to draw plenty of cues from the Gran Coupe. Note the headlights, front valence and beveled grille.

Another interesting design cue is the buttressed softtop. Although there has been plenty of speculation whether or not the 6 would feature a hardtop, rumors are circulating around the idea of an optional FOLDING hard-top. We have no idea if this is fact yet, as no official word has been made.

Bimmerpost reports:

We bring you the first photos of the F13 6-series convertible confirming that the 2012 6-series convertible will indeed have a traditional folding soft top (but a factory fitted optional hardtop will be available). These 650 convertible photos are also the most revealing yet of the body, which loses its plastic camoflage cladding to reveal most of the production body. What's being revealed slowly is a stunning looking BMW which retains the shape and sleekness of the previous 6-series cabrio, while losing some of its more criticized design. Production of the 650 convertible will begin in March 2011....

Is it just me or does it look a little more subdued/refined. The front of the current 6er is aggressive to me (similar to the previous 3er coupe). This one looks like they're scaling that down a bit and are going for more of a GT look.

well what you seen on here in that GT 6-Series 4 door coupe is the same front end you see on this car. I knew thats what the front end would look like. and i cann see it w/o the camo removed. still looks good very clean looking you can tell the Bangle ERA is completley over with these new more boring less aggressive models but it still has the classic BMW look and I guess that counts for something. I beleive Bangle was one of THE best designers BMW has had so far. but at the same time this is the best looking 5 series since the E39

It looks good but it almost looks to subtle especially when comparing it to the SL, and XK. The current stood out and had unique details albeit odd at times this one almost just looks a convertible 5 series and not much else. I guess I'll reserve my judgement until i see completely but right now I think it looks to subtle for a GT
