Ford F-150 SVT Raptor R to receive the all new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine

According to our sources, Ford is planning to build a Raptor R off-road race truck which will be powered by the all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.

As you may know already, the same engine will make its debut in the larger 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 half-ton pickup, but the Raptor R will show is its true value. For those who don’t know. The Raptor R is a competition-modified version of the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor which has raced in the Baja 1000 finishing 3rd in its class and portions of the 2009 “Best In The Desert” series.
