Wow - - - the biggest surprise here was that Dodge sold 7,481 Calibers (an increase of 37%). I guess there is no accounting for taste of car reviews for that matter. It is difficult to find a single auto rag that recommends the Caliber. I wonder what is driving sales for this one - - - low cost, incentives, fuel economy? I'm at a loss.

What 'neet' things will Chrysler thrill us with down the pike?

So tired of hearing about the Hemi... what a load of shit. The Hemi-thing is a PR fraud and Chrysler doesn't deserve to exist after two bailouts. Retro muscle cars can't sustain this company.

The current-production "Hemi" V8 with its pinched chamber, does not have true hemispherical combustion chambers despite the name; rather, it bears a closer resemblance to the mid-1950s Polyspherical chamber, which Chrysler engineers developed as a lower-cost alternative head for their V8 engines.

If you think the Hemi thing is a fraud then you no nothing about a hemi. The hemi design is through out the industry so if you are tired of hearing it then you need to get over it. Even Harley Davidson has one. The current production hemi is Not a Pinched chamber and has nothing to do with the polly. Nice try!. The poly was a candum valve which is nothing like the 5.7 or 6.1-4. Chrysler has one retro car so they are not relying on that one vehicle. They have the best Truck, top selling minivan, A kick ass Viper , the Jeeps, etc. Just to let you know a nice twin turbo v-6 with 420 hp and great mpg based on the world engine is one of many. Your comment did make me laugh!

I had the cailber as a rental and every review is correct as this car is crap. The gas pedal has a 2 second delay from when you press it until when the car actually begins moving. Brakes are terrible. Interior is very cheap.Sterio is trash compared to competition. Exterior will scare away ghosts. The trunk is decently big and gas mileage is very good. Road noise and engine noise is annoying. Handles like a pig. I wouldn't recommend one to my worst enemy. I felt unsafe in that car and I consider myself a good driver. The only way I can see people buying that car is if they have not test driven it and only want a car that has a little space and good gas mileage. Looks, performance, handling, safety, comfort, materials etc must mean nothing to them.Save your money and buy a scooter and fanny pack.

The Caliber is a solid car sure it is not a MB BMW. My Aunt has one and anyone who thinks it is crap has yet to drive one.

Chrysler is lame. They got saved twice by Corporate Socialism. They don't have enough new product. They will fail again.
