2010 Ford Mustang outsells the Chevrolet Camaro in May

It appears that the 2010 Ford Mustang finally got its crown back from the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro as FoMoCo sold 10,225 cars while GM only 8,931! Apparently, the new Mustang has it all: excellent road manners, impressive breaks plus a new 3.7-liter V6 engine delivering 305 hp and 280 pounds-feet of torque. With these numbers the car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds. Fuel consumption is impressive as the car delivers 31 mph on the highway.

Buyers are realizing how awkward and combersome the Camaro is. It may have a cool V8 but thats it. Its a cartoon on wheels.

Sorry, I have to agree that the Camaro, while a nice looking car, is more of a caricature design than the Mustang. I look at the designs of the current set of pony cars and think about how they wear over time. The Mustang seems to me to be the purest rendition with the Camaro and Challenger looking very large and over-rendered. In the long run, IMHO, the Mustang design will age far better than the other two.

You have all forgot to mention that the new SYNC and tech goodies of Ford are lightyears ahead of Chevrolet. You need to take a minute an stop by a FORD dealer and see the new navigation and SYNC system its better than MB, BMW, AUDI

Camaro's are being held by dealers and price gouged. The Mustang is being sold with the Ford promo's and still making a good profit. I swear people treat the new Camaro as if it were a rare car. At least the dealerships think so.

Dont know where u are @ but here in Chicago the new Camaro is available for rent. My sisters date for prom had one.
