Upcoming Volkswagen Passat Leaks Out

Upcoming Volkswagen Passat Leaks Out
Meet the new Volkswagen Passat. Our exclusive main picture – leaked from a German VW brochure – shows the upcoming family saloon without disguise for the first time.

Back in Issue 1,115, we brought you spy shots of a four-door testing in the Alps, wearing camouflage. But this image goes one better by revealing the production version.

As we suspected, the front end is revised, to fall in line with the rest of the VW family. With lower, wider air intakes and a narrower upper grille, the Passat now looks similar to the latest Polo and Golf head-on. The lights have been tweaked to include LED daytime running lamps, too.

The VW designs are getting old. It looks like the phaeton and golf. Whats up with car companies dragging designs across the whole lineup? It use to be nice when you couldn't tell an A4 from an A5 or A6.When a 3 series didnt look like a 5 and 7 series. When an acura tsx looked different from an acura TL. Most companies use the same front ends with minor tweaks. Its getting boring.

Can't be real? It really looks like a late 1990's model whatever.

If VW puts the VW face on all their cars, some cars will suceed and others will die out

It looks very nice. Conservative, yet somehow stylish as well, elegant and above all it looks very STATELY and confident. It could pass for a nice premium car.

Wow, I would find it so interesting to hear what Willis would have to say if the design came from Toyota or Honda. I think it would be a sarcastic joke on how bland an uninspiring it is. Do we all agree?

We do. But can we blame him? hmm..

Nope, we can't blame him for the hypocrisy he constantly shows as we now realize that he's been brainwashed to believe that everything German is always amazing and the best.

LOL, I actually kinda agree with Willis. This is a pretty sharp car, but they definitely could've risked a bit more. At least it doesn't look ugly...
