Five Star Ratings For BMW's 5 AND Alfa Romeo's Giulietta
Autocar reports:
The BMW 5-series and Alfa Romeo Giulietta have both received five star ratings from the Euro NCAP safety testing organisation.
Meanwhile, the Mazda CX-7 received a four-star rating - receiving particular criticism for its poor protection against whiplash.
Noteworthy results included the BMW scoring 100 per cent in the Safety Assist section of the test, as stability control, seatbelt reminders and a driver-set speed limitation device are all standard across the range...

hmm... how about BMW 5er vs. Alfa Romeo Guilietta for comparison's sake? As beautiful as the Alfa is, I think it's important for consumers to see it all in perspective for a second time - second time because I don't think many people heard about those Camry v. Yaris and Accord V. Fit tests.
I would rather break a few toes in an SUV rather than die internally from all the g-force in a SMART.
