Porsche Panamera to help save some VW jobs

Volkswagen AG will be able to secure 500-700 jobs at its commercial vehicle plant in Hanover as it will be producing Porsche AG's new sports coupe Panamera.

'At least 500, and maybe even 700 jobs will be guaranteed for many years, after some re-shuffling,' a VW source said according to an article to appear in tomorrow's Automobilwoche.

Officially, Porsche's board will make the decision on producing the coupe at VW's Hannover plant at the end of April of beginning of May, a high-ranking Porsche manager said.
