Saab planning to use Bmw's MINI platform for its entry-premium car
It’s not a secret anymore that Saab is planning to build a new version of the iconic tear-drop-shaped Saab 92 model launch 60 years ago.

It is still a secret who will be the partner chosen by Saab in order to build this model, or at least is was a secret until today as 4WheelsNews found out that Saab is in talks with Bmw in order to use the MINI platform for its upcoming car.

I'm sure the MINI platform is better than any platform GM had to offer. All the variants between brands have proven to be unsatisfactory. Maybe the MINI platform will be more rigid if they decide to use it for a sport model. I liked Saab but I hated them at the same time because no European firm owned them to bring them back into those jet fighter days. If they can have a cool high tech looking interior I am positive they will sell a lot better this time around.
