The Booth Babe Opens Up About Car Commercial's Song And Dance
Marketing is a brilliant thing because it can either make or break a company. Seriously.
And there are always those ingenious ways that agencies/marketing department manage to "hook" consumers. For instance, Abercrombie and Fitch ensures to spray down the entire store -- clothes and mannequins included -- with its scent(s) so not only you can smell it about 100 feet from the entrance but so you associate the smell with the brand.
Well, since we don't have smell-o-vision yet, car manufacturers have a different angle; music.

Music and scents. That’s what surrounds me during my work at car shows. The music tries to drown out the display next door. The ladies, gentlemen, even the cars in the booth are carefully perfumed. (There are other scents … but let’s not go there.) Nothing evokes a greater emotional response than music and scents. Retail establishments have figured out how to get to you via your nose and ears for years. Until Smell-O-Vision is actually rolled out, TV advertising has to be content with the music side of things. Luckily, most auto manufacturers know exactly how to push our buttons with a great tune. Here are some of my personal faves...

I think Abercrombie and Fitch sprays cologne through the AC vents. That place constantly smells good. Even if I dont want something ill go in and look around. Back to cars though. Its true,if you have good marketing,certain songs or catchy sounds or phrases will stick in the consumers head,therefor reminding them of that car and possibly leading that consumer to checking out that specific car and maybe purchasing it.
