Bugatti Veyron SuperSport: 1200 hp and a top speed of 264 mph!

Thanks to some insiders, we found out that the extreme version of the Bugatti Veyron will be called SuperSport. Same sources confirmed the fact that the new car will receive an impressive 1200 hp but will also be lighter with 300 kg comparing to the current version.

These improvements will push the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds while the top speed achieved will be 425 km/h. The new Veyron SuperSport will be built only for 30 customers.

I heard about this car over a year ago. I still think it's funny that as other manufacturers have started to approach the performance of the the big "bug", the Germans just pull another 200hp out the thing like they'd planned for it all along. LOL

Doesn't the ssc still have 87hp over this one and weigh over 1000lbs less than this 300kg "lighter" veyron?

The SSC supercars aren't crude; they're more of a lineup of enthusiast supercars. Both SSC and Bugatti have reached their goal, imo. I love how the Bugatti is so stable at top speed (according to Top Gear), and Jay Leno sure did have seem to enjoy the SSC he tested - yes... I know... he had to, but the vehicle is manual, mid-engined, and powerful; I'm pretty sure people love that.
