Rumor: Production version of Toyota FT-86 to be called FR-S
According to the latest reports, it appears that Toyota Motor Corp. recently filled a trademark for ‘FR-S’ name in United States and Canada. The word is that the production version of the FT-86 Concept will be called ‘FR-S’ in these markets while in Japan/ Europe/ Asia markets will carry another nameplate. If we’d explain the FR-S it would be something like front-engine, rear wheel drive while the ‘S’ will come for sports car.

I really like the way this car look, very sporty and modern looking. I wish they bring back the Toyota Supra and give it a twinburbo V6 egine and pump out 450 to 500 hp to against the Nissan GT-R.

And if they do make this concept into production model, it would be nice if it had several engines spec from 250hp to 315hp for the top end model.

Inline6,

I know what you mean but price wise that is where I am talking about here Not just Spec number. How many of us here can afford a Lexus LF-A? Not a lot even if we get invited.

Who cares what it's called... as long as it delivers... you think people by a 3-Series because of the fancy, exotic name??

If this car comes with more than 225hp I'd be surprised.
