Maybe I just expected this to look a little more aggressive, like the coupe.

Nothing can be as bad as the last interior...so this is a big improvement....however I dont think that ATM mouse thing looks at all user friendly and seems to be in an awkard, hard to reach or see location.

And those gauges look like exact copies of Acura and Hondas latest design.

The outside just doesnt look good. Kinda bland and Ho-Hum.

Really dislike the wheels....dont go with the car.....where are the M35/45 Sport wheels?

The coupe looks 50 times better.

Even many Infiniti enthusiasts thought that the new sedan might be more aggressive in appearance. However, the redline has been pushed to 7500 rpms. I'm hoping that is a clue to some good power under the hood.

It's not what some were expecting but it is tastefully done which I think Infiniti was going for. A more upscale look. I'd get in line to buy one.

I'm pretty sure you can say good bye to the VQ engine for 2007. I can't prove it but I think a new, more powerful engine and a 7500 RPM redline go hand in hand. There has been many "insiders" hinting that this is the case.

Come on, who the wise guy? this thing cannot be the next G35 coupe? what happen to concept we see? This thing look to bland and boring. Even the new Camry SE version look more sporty than that. If Infiniti want to compete with Lexus IS and BMW 330, they need to do better than that. Come on, you think I'm going to 27 to 30+K for this thing, when I can get a IS 350 0-60 in 5.5 second and way better looking than that for sure. Even the BMW 330 look better than that.

Honestly, I think this car is going to look more aggressive in person. Everybody is judging the car on three or four photos. Some BMWs IMO look like crap in photos but are absolutely gorgeous when you stand next to them. The wheels gotta go though.

A V8 wouldn't make good business sense unless it comes in V6 and V8 trims.

the coupe concept...i thought they were doing it rite.. but no..

i mean just look at the gauges... this is a luxury brand car... ppl dont want cheap looking gauges..

While this interior does not look that great it is an improvement over the old one, I just saw an Infinity commercial and the old one was reallly bad. I also dont really like the tail lights, they strecht to much to the middle of the trunk.

If u didn't like the exterior,settle with the great interior,and if that also turned u down,settle with the upcoming V6 with 320HP.

I am sure one of these things will not leave a buyer of this category cars,to just ignore G35.

This car looks bland when compared to the BMW 3 or the Lexus IS.

2 me it looks more like a updated car, not quite freshened, but the rear lights still stayed mainly the same. It just looks updated. It's overall look is nice though! Its wider. It gives it a better overall stance. It's rounder too. Although it kinda looks like the Toyota Aavalon. THe one thing i really don't like, is those navigation controls. Aren't they gonna be hard to use while driving?

doesn't look much different than the outgoing model????? Still boring. I do like the coupe though, quite a bit.

Yes its me again... but is it just me or does it have dare i say it... that bangle butt look?

I honesly think its okay looking, but it's still missing something on the exterior. The front has a way better hood... It makes it look stonger, and less feminene. Like if you look at the rear it looks femineme, but still has a muscular stance. I am glad that they made the car wider. Like the front of the car looks so AGGRESSIVE, but the round lines still say it has a little feminine touch to it. Don't you agree.

I really dont think those wheels fit at all! It should be a more cleaner machine finished look. I dont think the double spoke thing really works for Infiniti's maybe the FX though. I really do like the wheel arches. It sits on a lower platform. So it gives it a more modified sporty look.

I really hope that it comes with a V8. Maybe around 320hp. It seems like it will be a great car and will sell well. I'm sure I would much rather purchase this G35 than the Lexus IS.
I just really think they should fix that navigation "I click" thing. It looks to slanted and like it will almost be har to read and acces while driving. Infiniti is still improving on their interiors, but this one is looking okay. A little plastic-y but it still looks good. If they want to keep those ahrd to reach controls I suggest that they include steering wheel mounted nav. controls. Not so much with the setting but little things like zoom or to switch from birs eye veiw to normal veiw.

Yes, it does have a little bangle butt. I think the most BMWish thing Infiniti did was put a crease down the side of the car. I didn't like it on BMW's and I don't like it here.

Does the rear look feminine? I guess that's a matter of opinion, but yeah I can see where you are coming from. The wheels definitely dont fit. You'll see many a G35 sport buyer swapping aftermarket wheels. They are hideous.

I won't come with a V8 but I still think it could be in the 320 hp range. Modified VQ with dual throttle bodies and a factory X pipe will help.

Good suggestion. Nice I agree with some of what you had say. Maybe you did say it all!

Nissan makes really good engines but their styling falls short. I hate the infinity logo, tail lights and lack of side protection from parking lot door dings. Lack of door ding protection is an idiosyncracy of BMW and there is no eason to copy it.

Yeah Me too... also hate the Infiniti badge, it looks like a flatened pak-man.

I agree with you about the side crease 100% and the BMWness in this car. I don't however agree with you about the interior, gaps etc... This is a preproduction model. Many of the gaps are due to just getting the car together for the show and not taking their time. I know one enthusiast in particular asked a marketer at a private viewing if he could take a look inside the engine bay. They said no because they were concerned about "hood edges mating with the rest of the body" or something to that effect. So they still have a ways to go to get this car ready for production, inside and out.

As far as interior quality, I'm not really sure. I've heard many glowing things about it. I haven't seen it in person so I don't have facts to back anything up. People who have come back from the NYIAS could confirm that the materials, stitching, buttons etc. are lightyears ahead of the first gen. How it compares to the rest of the luxury field, who knows?

Again, pictures are deceiving. From a video it looked as if it was quite easy to operate. That is all a matter of opinion though. Some users will think its easy and some will think its hard and not worth their time.

Overall, I think this will be a car we all need to see in person. I'm hoping that things will come together nicely and Infiniti will have an even stronger selling sports sedan.

It really depends on your personal preference. If you like a driver's car and can put up with a somewhat plasticky interior than I would go with the G35. It handles well, it looks good, and it will never fail to put a smile on your face. Or wait until november for the '07 sedan to come out and get one of those since the interior has been reworked. (unless of course you don't like the exterior design)

If you like to be pampered and must have a better interior, then I would go with the IS350. I haven't actually driven one but from what I've heard, it's a beast in a straightline but leaves something to be desired in the handling department. The styling of the IS 350 isn't bad at all.
