RENDERED SPECULATION: Could THIS Be The Next-Gen Escalade?

RENDERED SPECULATION: Could THIS Be The Next-Gen Escalade?
If you were to think of the one car that saved Cadillac's brand image, you have to admit, the Escalade did wonders for the brand back when it first debuted. Its success, alongside the first-generation CTS, injected some life into a withering brand.

Well, thanks to Burlapp cars we have what appears to be a rendered image of a next-generation Escalade.

Question is: is it real?

If it is, it appears the car will take a lot of look from other General Motors crossovers and essentially plants a Cadillac XTS grill on front of the car.

Personally, this leads me to believe this is likely a PhotoShop but what say you, Spies?

If this were an equation it would look something like this:

Chevrolet Traverse + SRX rims + XTS grill + ATS headlights + Equinox rear taillights = New Escalade

Not sure at all if these are real or not.
But they do look pretty realistic.
Showing a next Escalade obviously sharing a lot with the Buick enclave and Chevrolet Traverse.
That would mean a 3.6 Liter V6 instead of a big V8, and a more car like behavior.

But it also seems too.. quiet, or tasteful, to be an Escalade...

Again, it does look pretty real though.
What do you think?

I REALLY HOPE THAT'S NOT THE NEW ESCALADE. ALL THAT IS IS THE OUT OF BUSINESS SATURN OUTLOOK WITH A CADILLAC FRONT AND BACK. THAT'S THE REAL PROBLEM WITH GM (GOVERMENT MOTORS). THEY HAVE THE BUICK ENCLAVE, SATURN OUTLOOK , CHEVROLET TRAVERSE AND THE GMC ACADIA . SAME CAR, AND IFFF THIS IS TRUE THE NEW ESCALADE. ALL THE SAME CRAP. WHICH THE BUICK LOOKS THE BEST

I like it...and it might possibly be a good product for Cadillac to look into...def should be a hybrid. However, that is NOT an Escalade...and I sure hope it doesn't look like that.

The Escalade was a two-edged sword - earned some street cred but at the same time hurt the brand with its rapper image. Sure, kids like rappers, but they don't buy Caddy's, Grandma and Grandpa do.

most escalades are purchased by white guys in their 50's. a lot of companies use ESVs for company cars/limousines. the rappers just gave Cadillac a buzz and made people pay attention.

the Escalade itself is appealing to a certain kind of guy, but it's a personality thing, it has nothing to do with age or background... It's big, powerful, and flashy. Driving it feels like being on a rolling throne. If you see yourself as king of your domain, then an Escalade looks good on you.

Actually the current three Lambda trucks (Enclave, Acadia, Traverse) have more than just a few panels and a badge separating them. Those amongst us with longer memories will recall that the Enclave came out significantly later than the Acadia and the Outlook because Bob Lutz held it back to get the ride and other things (like the noise levels) improved to his liking. There are enough differences to warrant their existence. The Cadillac version is almost guaranteed to be offering something a bit extra for the dollar. I predict a turbocharged V6 or maybe that Ultra V8 that was supposed to have been introduced in the Lambdas by this time.

Finally the escalade won't be a tahoe with a different grill.

Actually the Enclave is built on the Lambda chassis and anyone with half a brain knows that all of those suvs including the now extinct Outlook are almost identical. Just open a door to one of them with the exception of the Enclave and the only difference is the stickers. Same cheap plastic and all, I would never consider purchasing a knock of Cadillac that looks exactly like the Outlook (look at the rear of this truck its exactly the same).
