EXCLUSIVE: Is The NEW 6 In The Panamera And Cayenne WORTHY Of The Porsche Name? 001 Intends To Find Out
Welcome to Germany!

Sure, 001 is the one actually there, but thanks to his crisp photography and constant snapping, we have for you what is essentially a trip to the sausage capital of the world. It is only a click away from your computer.

Out roaming the streets of Cologne, 001 is getting a preview of the new V6 powerplants that will be featured in the 2011 Porsche Panamera and Porsche Cayenne.

Although we know from 001's earlier experience, in the all-new Cayenne S and Turbo, that it is a real standout, we can be reasonably confident that most people will not be splurging on those expensive motors. The bread and butter are the V6 cars, which may be more than enough for one person to handle. Problem is that the older V6 powerplants were not quite mind bending.

It comes down to one thing; execution.

According to our sources, the new V6s are suppose to be stellar and more than ample. But enough of the philosophical debate, let's wait for 001's verdict...

I saw one in person. Looks so nice in person. Very attractive car. I take back what I said about it looking like an Audi Q5. It doesn't.

As far as the 6-cylinder having enough power? Who cares? people who buy these cars aren't racing them and probably have another performance car to satisfy that need. As long as this car isn't slow (at least a low to mid 6 second 0-60 time) Then they will a winner. I like this car!

The new Cayenne has grown on me except the hideous rear end. Don't know why Porsche can't get the rear end right.

I agree with JUGNU. I don't get those rear tail lamps at all. Well maybe on the 3 yr mid cycle refresh.........
