First i want to know why were debating the europen market most of the people on this blog are americans and rarely if ever go to europe this is an insignificant discussion. Secondly Lexus is one of the only luxury companys with a parent company that makes a non lux line (Toyota)therefor if lexus were to make a lower level car it would start competing with toyota vehics. if you have read any newspaper lately you would see that this happened to GM and their heading for bankrupcy not a smart move.<br>
In response to BMW530i lexus does off the option of cloth in its lower level car and in the past even offered it in the LS im sure this is being phased out because most americans wont pay the price for lux with cloth seats but as stated befor Lexus is new to the europe and asia market and this may reapear as a more popular option overseas<br>
and lastly to sinjoor who stated Why pay that kind of coin to drive a "jap" car? as apposed to what a NAZI car a car that you probly at one point could not drive because you wernt a blue eyed blond headed person thats much better that a Jap car.

About thecomments on cars with less performance. this my sound stupid and nieve but arnt most of you european car fans and arnt most of them designed for luxury performance. so why build lesser cars. i mean would a camary or corolla not serve the puropse for european needs. i guess what im asking is why do they buy a luxury car when what they wat is a reliable every day car ie small engin and cloth seats

yeah nother disaster happened in the world: lexus LS
maybe they should stop making cars, the styling is horrible and the exterior design is stolen from the BMW 7series, the inside of the car is even uglier, cheap steering wheel and dashboard,btw the clock in the middle of the dashboard is another stolen thing:this time from jaguar, I think they stole many little parts from other great luxury sedans and thought that they would come up with something better: RONG--> it's became a boring and ugly car, it's nothing compare to the maybach, sow if you have enough money buy, youself a real car, not some stolen rubbish
