MINI loses race with Porsche Carrera S at Road Atlanta
Honestly to tell you we don’t exactly understand what MINI was trying to do when it challenged Porsche to a race at Road Atlanta, but after yesterday’s race we think MINI’s fans cried a little bit.

Ok, first of all let us tell you that the track wasn’t Road Atlanta’s 2.54-mile race circuit, it was a race track designed by MINI in order to neutralize Posche’s speed advantage. The race involved a MINI Cooper S and a Porsche 911 Carrera S, also supplied by MINI after Porsche refused the race.

I seriously doubt Mini were expecting to win.

Its all good hearted publicity and it would have been nice if Porsche would have joined in... I'm sure Mini had a plan for whichever way it went, so we will see how it develops!

The end is quite hilarious.
There is the clip that shows the Mini losing my 2 seconds " $38,000 per second"

So the Porsche driver was paid by the Mini people and it still won,lol The track was the most confusing dangerous track I have ever seen, this whole thing just didn't make any sense.

HaHaHa - - -this wasn't even a race track, but rather an AutoX track. Looks to me like the only performance parameters being put to the test was lateral acceleration and cornering. This challenge did nothing to test speed, stability at speed, off/on camber corners, braking, tracking, etc. Unless you spend most of your time doing donuts in a big parking lot, this was a worthless exercise.
