SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's 300SL Lives On Through The SLS Roadster
The 300SL lives on through the SLS AMG. First, it was the "Gullwing," next comes the Roadster.

Said to go on sale in early 2011, the convertible is obviously going to axe the infamous "Gullwing" doors. Uh, duh.

Performance is expected to be on par with the coupe. With upwards of 560-570-horsepower, the Roadster will probably do zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds and be armed with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

I hereby give this two solid thumbs up...

Mercedes' SLS supercar has blown its top! These are the best pictures yet of the SLS Roadster, which will be hoping to continue the success of its hard-top brother.

The open topped two-seater goes on sale in early 2011, and will be officially unveiled later this year.

As you can see from these pictures, the convertible version keeps the coupe’s long bonnet and short tail. Unfortunately, the gullwing doors will have to make way for more traditional units...

Very Hot car for a Merc.

With no SLR in the pipe this is the closest thing and I'm looking forward to the first real pics......

Although I know some people may find this retro-inspired SLS a bit too much, I like it MUCH more over the SLR.

The SLR was an interesting piece but a bit too overstyled for my taste.

I like the SLS but it doesn't rate to the SLR! The SLR still looks like the top of the range!
