BMW ConnectedDrive will include incoming e-mail with voice output
BMW has expanded its BMW ConnectedDrive further, allowing e-mail messages to be received inside the vehicle through a Bluetooth connection.

Owners of BlackBerry smartphone, which is produced by the mobile phone manufacturer RIM (Research In Motion), will have access to the phone’s e-mail function via the operating system iDrive. According to a company statement, the new facilities for e-mail access tie in directly from the BMW ConnectedDrive office functions showcased at the start of the year.

apparently all navigation equipped BMW's starting with September production will not only read emails via Bluetooth but they'll stream audio via Bluetooth, show the photo tags you have assigned to your phonebook contacts, show album covers from your music collection, etc. And they'll do this for iPhones, etc., not just Blackberry's. I'm glad my 5-Series isn't due until September.
