VIDEO: Teaser Footage Of Ford's 2011 Explorer During Testing
Ford has been teasing the hell out of the next-generation Explorer. Although it is pretty easy to get an idea of what this car will look like, Ford has yet to unveil the car. Taking its sweet time with this one.

The video features the Explorer's Program Manager, Julie Levine, discussing the 2011 Explorer, its capabilities and what it aims to accomplish. Sounds pretty straightforward to us.

Do you perceive this as a genuine 21st century SUV that has a focus on improved fuel economy, better styling, safety, connectivity and driver comfort, as Levine states?

Watch below as Levine talks about the 2011 Ford Explorer

Ford has dropped some new teaser footage of a camouflaged 2011 Explorer, with the vehicle's Program Manager, Julie Levine, describing how the new SUV is being put to the test in various on and off-road tests. The new unibody Explorer will be unwrapped in July and go on sale in the States later this year.

It will be offered with the company's new 2.0-liter Ecoboost turbocharged four-pot and a 3.5-liter V6 engine in both naturally aspirated and twin-turbocharged versions...

Impressive to increase the mileage by 25%, this ad is aimed at non purists, what ford did to the transfer case baffles and angers me, how about have a locking transfer case in high range and an all wheel drive mode for just rainy/semi slippery surfaces and a low range with the transfer case locked, again I would like to see an off road version with a full interior cage with 35 inch tires and 15inches of wheel travel controlled by Fox racing shocks. I consider this to be in the same league as a mini van, and not a go anywhere vehicle as this actor states. That is go anywhere a minivan can, although the old Mazda minivans from the 1990 time had low range transfer cases and this ford could not go where that mini van could go.Sad

Yuck you're right!!! These marketing guys never learn, anyone remember the disastrous ads that were launched for the Infiniti Q45 in the early '90's.

Why they put a "Terrain Response System" from Land Rover , I don't think this design is good on Off Road conditions ?? and this testing facility must be for a Mini Cooper cars lol....
