Ferrari to build a V12-powered 458 Italia for Eric Clapton
According to Italian magazine Quattroroute it appears that Ferrari receive an unusual request from Eric Clapton, the well-known British guitarist: he wants a Ferrari 458 Italia powered by the V12 engine found on the more potent 599 GTB Fiorano.

Although it seems a though request, it appears that Ferrari accepted this mission and we will see the most powerful 458 Italia on the streets.

Again with the LFA. Please stop compairing that Supra to a real exotic. Is it still too soon to make Toyota jokes?

please, stop comparing that aluminum v8 powered mid-engined wanna be exotic with the carbon fiber f1-derived V10 powered frontmid-engined LFA.

What that said, He probably couldn't get a GTO so he asked ferrari to make him a special car. I'd just see if I could get a 599XX for the street that's NOT the GTO. Active aero and all.

lol why are you ripping on the f458's aluminum frame when it weighs 300lbs less? Toyota may have figured out how to make carbon fiber, but the weight of this lexus shows they haven't learned how to engineer the strongest/lightest structure out of it. Also, that ferrari engine is 300cc smaller, yet still pumps out 45lb-ft more torque and 10 more hp.

I was going to say, why the hell not just supercharge it? But the dude wants a V12 I guess...and when you have the money, why not?
