2011 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG DR 520: the most powerful C-Class on the market!
Mercedes-Benz revealed today the C-Class DR 520, a new limited edition which will be sold exclusively by company’s Specialist Products division at Mercedes-Benz World at Brooklands, Surrey.

Regarding this model, the German manufacturer says it is its most powerful C-Class, because it is based on the C 63 AMG and carries a performance package capable to boost its power output to 520 hp and 650 Nm of torque, from 460 hp and 600 Nm delivered by the standard vehicle. With these numbers, the car can hit 62 mph in just 4.1 seconds while the estate version needs 4.2 seconds.

Not coming to the U.S. is it? So what's the point.

We all know the good stuff stays in Europe. Any C63 owner could tune it to have the same specs anyways. So nothing to cry about. It's just not from factory that's all. If you can afford to own this car you can probably afford to lose its warranty via modifying it's motor to produce 520hp.

Suddenly, the M3 looks vulnerable and the RS4 pedestrian.

Why don't we make it a fair fight give both the BMW M3 and Audi RS4 or RS5 520 hp and 650 Nm of Torque and see who win. BMW should win easily because of it great handling and being lighter.

That doesn't make any sense! Why don't we give the Miata 520hp and 650 Nm, and it would probably destroy all these cars. Hell, how about give a Ford Focus or a Honda CRZ that power?

You can't just swap power and make things up. You have to take whatever the manufacturers give you.

This is MB's response to BMW's M3 GTS. Audi won't come out with a special RS4 version, Audi will tell you to buy the R8!

I have a 2009 C63. I have the ECU Flashed, CF airbox, SS long tube headers, all done by RennTech.
559 HP @ 6800 RPM; 515 LB-FT @ 5200 RPM on the dyno.

My best time at the track is 11.46 @ 117mph in 1/4mi. And that's when it's 100" outside. The car will do 0-60 in 4 sec or better. Stock it was running about 4.2-4.3sec 0-60. It will burn a M3 to the ground.. I got rid of my RS4 for it. Minus the handeling the C63 pretty much beats it all around. The tourqe is the best thing about the car. The only car I have driven that can compare to it is the Porsche T-Turbo. Hope that answers some of your questions about it. I am very happy with it. When I had my Audi I said there was no way I would ever buy anything but a Audi again. I lied..
