Numbers wise it might be the best midsize out right now. It also has sleek styling elements, but overall styling isn't as great as promised.

Not a shocker. The altima really needs to step up its game. Glad the american brands did, but I dont think they anticipated the competition from hyundai.

I agree with you I dont think any of the manufacturers expected hyundai to be such a force. But like I have been telling people Hyundai has stepped their game up and from the looks of things I dont see them fallin any time soon. Plus the sonata is a hot sporty looking sendan compared to the rest of the competition.

Hyundai's doing great. Great momentum from the Genesis. Genesis gained them more respect from the public and their styling has improved greatly. They look much better than their competition in general and has appeal. It's not a sub-economy brand. It's got economy cars as well as luxury cars for great value. As most wouldn't cross shop at the moment but it's obvious people are switching over and giving them a shot. It's only the beginning.

Lame! The curent Altima was designed back in 2006 and released in 2007. So they barely outsold a 4+ year design. I will hold judgement until the new Altima comes out and puts the Hyundai back in its place.

I thought the current model was the redesign??? It looks more like a refresh so hopefully I am wrong...

I'll be impressed when they outsell the Accord and Camry, but that is remarkable considering that 10 years ago, most people would not even think to cross shop them... even 5 years ago they were still kind of iffy.

Wow, you like Nissan's? Interesting. I thought you had Toyota tattooed on your heart. Cool...

Great job Hyundai. New Sonata is a huge step forward by Hyundai and soon it will be closing the gap to Accord and Camry . Sonata is giving good competition to Japanese big 3 in Middle East market too. Japanese big 3 will have to make better Camry, Accord and Altima now and also design wise this time.

Hyundai has seen year-over-year sales increases for the last 5 years and their market share has grown to 7 percent this year. The trend is definitely upward for the brand.

Looking at their steady growth numbers, it is clear that Hyundai is positioned to gain even more market share in the U.S. over its competitors.

Good job Hyundai. I was hesitant on the Sonata at first, but its definitely one of those cars that looks better in person than in pictures.

The new Sonata is a really handsome car. Still would never buy one. But it is the second best looking in its class right now.
