Toyota Says Product Development Times Will Slow To Implement Safety Checks
Toyota Motor Corp. is extending the time it takes to develop new vehicles by about four weeks for more quality checks in the wake of its massive safety-related recalls, a top executive said today.

Executive Vice President Takeshi Uchiyamada said the company has learned a lot in the wake of its recalls of more than 8.5 million vehicles worldwide, including the need to slow the pace at which it develops new vehicles.

Currently it takes Toyota about 24 months on average to bring a new vehicle to market in Japan, Uchiyamada said. The timeframe varies somewhat in other markets, including the U.S.

Sure why they have to put an exclusive design BMW wheel just put a Toyota wheel with his pastic cover included. Is very easy.

Wouldn't this picture be more suited to an article about retards with BMW, MB, Audi's who don't clean off their wheels and drive around with the "cool" graphite colored coating. I bet BMW offers it as a color option on wheels soon enough and stipulates that you cannot wax, wash, or polish them, just spray with rain water.

similar to that lame frozen gray paint that you have to signoff on to not void the warranty. Lame.
