VIDEO: McLaren's MP4-12C Driven @ Goodwood By Button AND Hamilton

In what must have been one of the most shining moments in British motoring, McLaren showed off its latest creation, the MP4-12C, at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Not only did they have the car on display but it did an aggressive run up the hill thanks to McLaren Formula 1 drivers, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

The 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed saw the public debut of the new McLaren supercar, the MP4-12C. And who better to pilot a bright orange example up the Goodwood hill during the weekend's supercar runs than the company's Formula 1 drivers, current world champion Jenson Button and the man he surpassed to the title, Lewis Hamilton. Both are British heroes and drove the car to whoops, cheers and applause...

Yawn!!! Why waste your time with that crap when you can get a Lexus LF-A? Lexus doesn’t need F1 drivers to showcase their performance cars. Hollywood celebrities are much more effective to Americans. Brad Pitt driving an LF-A has more of a "sporting" effect to the average American, than any F1 Driver driving the same car. Sad but true.

Mclaren needs to put someone like "Jack Bauer" in the car, and then Americans will consider it to be a serious vehicle. Americans haven’t a clue on who Jenson Button or Lewis Hamilton are (there’s a race this weekend BTW).
