Report: Full-sized pickups sparked June U.S. auto sales
June US auto sales rose as the sales of full-sized pickups climbed steeply. The pickup segment increased by 26% when compared to last year, nearly doubling the 14% gain for all light vehicles in June.

The Ford F-series pickup sold 46,502 units, up by 30%. The increase is attributed to the sales of the carryover and redesigned models of the Super Duty version. Meanwhile, General Motors’ combined sales of the Chevrolet Silverado and twin GMC Sierra increased by 26% to 42,435 units. Other segment entries also posted increases — Chrysler’s Ram pickup rose by 10%, to 15,864 units; the Toyota Tundra was up by 49%, to 7,717; and the Nissan Titan climbed 24%, to 1,604.

Ford is a good pickup but scale of 1-10 Silverado is an 11. I just don't have the time nor the effort to tolerate a Chevy truck.

Yes indeed, I'm a Chevy guy, but that new F-150 Platinum calls my name anytime I see one.
