If it looks anything like that illustration, it seems that the Panamera's 'hunch-back' is acting as a design theme.

However this car is going to look like, whether we like it or not, the car will surely be a good one to drive.

You can tell when a car company is struggling to obtain growth of their core product - - - they just proliferate special editions. Come om Porsche - - - give the 911 a significant redesign with a corresponding boost in horse power and forgo all of the special editions.

But it's heritage. The 911 isn't your Lexus that gets forgotten after 2 generations.

I think Porsche is going in the wrong direction styling-wise with some of their models... the new Boxster Spyder and the 911 GT3 are the only things coming out that I think look good.

Well I'm waiting for a Cayenne Speedster next. The only SUV that will give a "true" blast of fresh air! 600 HP,200 LBS lighter and "start/stop" for better fuel mileage. Also able to scale a verticle skyscraper in less then 10 minutes! All for the low low price of $500,000. Only 50 will be made.

the funny thing is that porsche usually reserves these silly models for times when economies are overheated and people dont know what to do with there money.

that is other than to buy a model with a semi-permanent fabric hood

Ok, maybe its just me, but is anyone else sick of german carmakers creating 5 or 6 variants/special editions from what is really a single car model?

The 911 Kammback version can't be far off ...

Can someone explain what a "semi-permanent fabric hood" is?

Generally, I prefer the bodywork on a car to be more than "semi-permanent".
