Study shows that Mercedes-Benz dealers know how to treat customers
Mercedes-Benz has been named by Pied Piper’s annual Prospect Satisfaction Index as the brand to have scored the highest in 2010 in terms of customer satisfaction.

The auto industry would be pleased to know that as a whole, 25 of the 34 brands scored higher compared to last year’s index. To conduct the survey, Pied Piper sent 3658 mystery shoppers to dealers to get feedback for a range of dealer-consumer criteria, which focus on salesperson interaction. Trailing Mercedes are Lexus, Land Rover, Acura, and Jaguar.

If you are a complete arrogant a**shole when dealing with the staff at the dealerships then you get what you deserve. I've grown up with Mercedes cars in our garage and as far as I remember the staff has never mistreated us and always offered a courtesy car if we needed to go somewhere, some coffee or soft drinks while we waited for a short period of time. When almost everyone greets you when you walk in I think that's just the tip of the iceberg for Mercedes quality customer service.

Total crap. I had the misfortune of dealing with Valley Motors in Hunt Valley MD for 7 years. THEY SUCK SUCK SUCK which is probably why they lost their Porsche franchise. The service department is terrible.

Moved over to BMW in 2004. Never looked back.

They must have sent people to Tysinger Motors in Hampton VA. They are nothing but a First Rate Mercedes Dealer - from the sales staff to the service department. I visited Phillips Mercedes in Virginia Beach VA and Tysinger when I was looking for my Mercedes (knew I wanted European Delivery) and it was worth going the extra miles to Tysinger. The sales staff talked highly of the program and told me what I could expect. The service department treats me like I am the president of the company when I go in for my annual checkup. Know not all dealers are as good as Tysinger but wanted people to know that not all Benz Customer Service is bad.

You guys really buy a car based on how you are treated at the dealer? While it is definitely nice to have a good dealer close by, for me it is the car first and the dealer second. I won't compromise on the car I want just to get a dealer that treats me better. The last two cars that I bought new (a Porsche and a Mercedes) were both so reliable that I very infrequently had to go to the dealer. If you don't like your local dealer, take your car to the next closest one.
