Senior Designer At BMW Group DesignworksUSA Tinkers With Modern Day iSetta, Sign Of Things To Come?
The mystery surrounding project i continues to get weirder and weirder.

Although we know that the Mini E is playing a part in the project and that the possibility of a new iSetta is there, there has not been any conclusive evidence in this whole debacle. But when a senior designer from BMW's DesignworksUSA starts tinkering around with ideas for a modern day iSetta and even sets up his own private website, you have to turn your head and say "eh?"

Should we dismiss this as merely a pet project or could it be an indication of something more?

BMW’s Megacity project is expected to reintroduce the famous iSetta brand when the first, electric powered city car goes on sale in 2013. And while this logo looks official, particularly with its iPod-style addition to the iSetta’s name, it’s the work of designer Olivier Molody.

But while the work is a personal project, Molody is a senior designer at BMW Group DesignworksUSA, and has worked at the firm since 2003. This gives an insight BMW’s desire to reimagine the classic bubble car for a new generation...

I think it is a good idea for BMW to stick to cars for low income people. Their drivers have the worse reputation on the road, perfect for catering to lower class people. Ferrari and Lambo owners laugh as they drive by.
