Porsche receives over 16,000 for the new Cayenne in the first month

In only one month, Porsche received over 16,000 orders for the new Cayenne – a figure that we’re prepared to bet has also surprised the German sports car maker.

This meant that 16,000 people are willing to pay between €55,430 (Cayenne) and €115,520 (Cayenne Turbo) for one. Figures show that what appealed most to consumers is the Cayenne S Hybrid, which accounts for about 15% of orders.

Do you realize that this is not some Escalade or Navigator with same Running Gear weather V6 or V8 Powerplant ?

With the Cayenne, the Standard V6 gets CoilOver Springs/Dampers while Turbo Gets Air Suspension.

Also the DriveShafts, Brakes and practically everything you can think of underneath the vehicle is Seriously Uprated

Aside from the Hybrid the Cayenne is pretty a pretty incredible driving machine especially in the Turbo. Auto Car did a video comparision around a British track between the Carrera 4S and Turbo. The Turbo came in 3/4 of a second slower in lap time. For an SUV that not only weighs a half a ton more and has a higher center of gravity that is amazing. In fact it appears that most publications like the way the Cayenne drives better then the Panamera.
