VIDEO: FLAME ON! Ferrari's 599 GTO FIRES Itself Up
You know, it was only yesterday we ran a story about a Ferrari 458 Italia.
And like some other high-end exotica,
it unfortunately went up in flames
.
Today we have something a bit more uplifting. And while this Ferrari also is sportin' some flames, it is happening in a bit of a different way. Rather than engulfing the engine bay, this 599 GTO has some serious fire coming out of its tailpipes.
**Take a look at the video below to see the 599 GTO erupt with HOTness....
...The technical specifications are 670hp in a 1495kg car representing a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.23kg/hp and ensuring a 0-100 km/h (62mph) acceleration time of just 3.35 seconds as well as a top speed of over 335km/h...

Any rotary does that. I've seen quite a few Gallardos and high end cars doing it. By the way that is how you drive a Ferrari. Not how I normally see them driven by 70 year old men with cigars in their hand doing 20 mph on the highway...no joke.

I know thats how you REALLY "drive" this car but the guy driving this car like the Camry driver in the next lane isnt doing anything but obeying the law. *shrugs shoulders* Sucks but thats how it is...

Another great car toasted. Awesome!
If it was a Lexus everyone would be fighting saying it's the drivers fault for driving it too fiercely.

Cool when a Ferrari does it, frowned upon when a Navistar Ford F-series does it.

So is this some aftermarket trick? Ive seen this on a 96 Impala SS. I know I shouldnt even be mentioning that vehicle in the same sentence but I just want to know (WITHOUT DE-BOOSTS) does this Ferrari do that from the factory? If so, thats pretty neat.
