Lotus Confirms Upmarket Debut In Paris Come September

As we brought to you weeks ago, Lotus is planning to expand is brand with some new models. The problem only was it was rumors.

Well, today we can confirm that an upmarket will definitely be making an appearance in Paris come September.

Although there has been confirmation of a new Esprit, Lotus' vague statements have us believing they are going to build something that will attempt to take down Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin.

Go get 'em, Lotus....


Lotus has officially confirmed that it will show a concept for an upmarket supercar at the Paris motor show in September.

In the latest of a series of cryptic statements, the Malaysian-owned, Norfolk-based sports car company reveals its new show car will be “perhaps even more” than a replacement for the mid-engined Esprit supercar — which it pointedly reminds us was first unveiled as a Giugiaro-designed concept at the Paris show exactly 35 years ago...

I hope they do bring back the Esprit. I have always loved that car and have often wondered if I could pick up an older turbo to have as a weekender. I especially like the pic used in this article and all of the spy photos and other pics of that car that I have seen the passed few years.
